COLLEEN RHATIGAN
MUSIC ARTIST
With an Atmospheric Neo-Soul sound, Colleen Rhatigan makes vulnerable music for the empaths. Her raw lyrics reflect on struggles with mental health and painful relationships. With influences from Daniel Caesar and Ariana Grande, Colleen uses emotional instrumentals with a variation between soft breathy and powerfully stacked vocals. Her songs tend to use modal harmonies and stray away from strict forms. Her audience tends to consist of young adults (16-25) who are artsy and deeply emotional and take SSRI’s. They also likely are Queer, love coffee and cats, and feel connected with spirituality.

Colleen is currently finishing up writing her first EP, “gonna be ok,” and will be in the studio to record this Fall. Her first single “lotus” will be released this fall, with the EP following a couple months after. “lotus” will also be accompanied with a music and lyric video. Following the EP release, Colleen plans to do a small tour focused in Boston, New York, and a plethora of California cities, including Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, and San Francisco.
